Pale Seas to play Sunderland's INDEPENDENT this Saturday
This Saturday, Sunderland’s most popular music venue, Independent, welcomes Southampton four-piece Pale Seas to their stage with the support of Newcastle-based singer-songwriter Trev Gibb.
During the summer, singer Jacob Scott launched his band’s latest EP, Places To Haunt, on a 1930’s Dutch barge floating on the River Thames. With this receiving an 8/10 review from NME and The Clash describing them as “honey for the ears”, Pale Seas are certainly a band to catch live while you can.
Scott’s honest lyrics and otherworldly character has gained Pale Seas a loyal fan base and their live shows are famously encapsulating. His inspirations are varied and his songs are compelling, combining feelings of deep pain with an uplifting, heartfelt honesty.
Independent will no doubt provide the perfect venue for this kind of band – big enough to hold a decent crowd and small enough to provide the intimacy they need to show off their dreamy, melodic talents.
