Foo Fighters announce Sunderland Stadium of Light gig as part of 2015 tour
Foo Fighters have announced a string of UK dates next summer and they’re stopping off for a huge gig at Sunderland’s Stadium of Light on May 25.
The announcement came just two days after the release of their eighth studio album, Sonic Highways, and the set promises to showcase both epic new material as well as countless hits from their entire 20 years of music.
In the past, the Stadium has played host to huge acts such as Coldplay, Bruce Springsteen, Kings Of Leon and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Sunderland is the only place Dave Grohl and co will be playing between Edinburgh and London and almost 60,000 people are expected to be there to see arguably the biggest rock band on the planet.
