Mitch Laddie Band to return to The Cluny 2
Returning to the venue where he recorded his live album, Mitch Laddie and his band are set to play at The Cluny 2 in Newcastle on February 6.
Having earned success at a young age, signing a record deal with Provogue Records at 17, and developing ever since, Mitch Laddie has been marked as the future of music by numerous critics, including endorsement from Blues behemoth Walter Trout. Completed by Matt Connor and Rhian Wilkinson, the Mitch Laddie Band transcend genre expectations, blending influence from legends like Michael Jackson, Prince and Jimi Hendrix while adding their own contemporary spin on records.
With support coming from Rubric, a fellow local band, from the opposing side of the Tyne and Wear divide, the night looks to celebrate some of the best musicians from the North East. While The Cluny isn’t quite as prestigious as the iconic Royal Albert Hall, where Mitch, Matt and Rhian performed in 2014, they’re sure to bring a similar energy alongside their natural chemistry to the venue, situated in the heart of Byker’s Ouseburn.
With the band, and Mitch as a soloist, pipped to become major names in the music industry in the impending future, which is understandable from listening to their Steel Town Music Sessions EP released at the back end of 2014, you’ll be hard pressed to find an event half as exciting for as little as £5. Head down to The Cluny on Friday February 6, for a night of captivating, but chilled, music of the very highest quality.
