Cake

While struggling with her own personal tragedy, a troubled Claire Bennett (Jennifer Aniston), becomes fascinated by the suicide of Nina (Anna Kendrick), a member from her chronic pain support group, forming an unexpected relationship with the woman’s husband (Sam Worthington). Claire searches for self-forgiveness and human connection in this emotional tale of rediscovering life.

Daniel Barnz’s indie drama Cake is the first serious role we’ve seen from rom-com regular Jennifer Aniston, and is the best shot the actress has had at gaining an Oscar nomination for a while. This dark comedy has already bagged two awards and four nominations including Aniston for Best Actress for the Screen Actors Guide.

Cake is to be released in UK cinemas February 20, and also stars Adriana Barraza, Felicity Huffman and William H. Macy.#####
