Irish rock band The Coronas play at Newcastle’s O2 Academy on March 21 and continue their UK tour until April 1 when they play Koko London.

The quartet has previously supported fellow Irish band The Script for their Irish tour dates in 2009 and their European tour in 2011. The Coronas then went on to play their biggest headline show so far at the O2 in Dublin two years ago.

The Coronas have also supported other big artists, such as Paul McCartney and Justin Timberlake, and are embarking on their 11 night tour promoting their new album, The Long Way, in Leeds on March 20.

The band formed when the members met at college at 15 and have been primarily based in Ireland with big support from their home country.

Hartlepool band, Shoot the Poet are supporting The Coronas at Newcastle O2 Academy on Saturday March 21.

Tickets are £10.12 available from www.thecoronas.net.
