Dark fantasy film Seventh Son arrives in UK cinemas on Friday March 27.

Based on the novel The Spook’s Apprentice, Seventh Son is directed by Sergei Bodrov and stars Jeff Bridges (The Big Lebowski, Tron), British actor Kit Harington (Game of Thrones) and Julianne Moore, in her first role since winning the 2015 Academy Award for Best Actress for her role in Still Alice.

Seventh Son focuses on Thomas Ward (Ben Barnes), the apprentice to the Spook (Bridges), the last of an order of warriors who protect humanity from supernatural creatures. When a malevolent witch named Mother Malkin (Moore) threatens the land, the Spook and his apprentice must fight to stop her from wiping out humanity.

This is director Bodrov’s ninth feature film, following on from previous films such as Nomad (2005) and Prisoner of the Mountains (1996).

Seventh Son has been given a 15 rating and appears in all major UK cinemas on Friday.
