Batman: Arkham Knight release date confirmed
After a wait that feels like it’s lasted a lifetime, fans of the award-winning Batman Arkham series can finally get excited about the newest addition to the Rocksteady saga.
Batman: Arkham Knight is the fourth game to be released in the series and the official Twitter account confirmed that the game will be released on next-gen consoles on June 23, 2015.
The game is only to be released on next-gen consoles, and the follow-up to Batman: Arkham Origins introduces us to new features that we can’t wait to experience. The most exciting thing about the new game is that you can now drive the Batmobile. This is something every fan of the Caped Crusader has dreamed of doing and it is now possible, (well, close enough) and this, accompanied with the return of the original voice cast, means fans cannot wait to get their hands on this game.
The game is set one year after the death of the Joker in Batman: Arkham City and the Dark Knight is struggling to come to terms with life without his nemesis. The absence of the Joker means Gotham is beginning to feel safer, which allows for Batman’s other enemies, such as The Penguin and Two-Face, to cause chaos in an attempt to kill the Batman. It is up to you to once again save Gotham, which due to an evacuation, is now the home of the cities most dangerous criminals, which is nothing that a quick Batarang can’t fix.
The game was initially scheduled for an October 14, 2014 release, but as always seems to be the case, the developers felt that they weren’t giving the fans their best work and decided to delay the release until June, 2015. The game has already won multiple awards and is expected to earn even more plaudits when it is finally released.
