In terms of gigs, the Hip Hop and Grime divisions of the North East’s music scene are rarely seen on the bill of events in the area, much less headlining them. Coming May 9 to World HQ, in Newcastle, Static is providing the stage for a showcase of some of the region’s most respected rappers. With Hek-Tik Records trio, Caff, RG and Trav topping the bill alongside various local stars such as Just B, H-Man, Rex Regis and Nato.

Static looks set to be the first live performance of tracks from the recently released Chaotic Beginnings mixtape from the Hek-Tik Records crew, alongside other special releases from the other MC’s taking to the stage on the night. The event is sure to offer a little something for every type of Hip Hop head with a diverse line-up consisting of different styles within Hip Hop and Grime, but every single set is sure to be entertaining and full of the vibrant and passionate energy typified by the majority of North East rappers.

The full line-up consists of: Hek-Tik Records (Caff, RG, Trav), Rex Regis, Adamsy, Smooth Jezza, Just B & H-Man, The Virus, M2E, Blitzd Vibes, Nato and 2FK.

Static takes place in World HQ on Saturday 9 May. Tickets £4-5. Doors 7pm.
