Following on from the success of Wolfenstein: The New Order in 2014, Bethesda return to the series with the standalone prequel Wolfenstein: The Old Blood.

Set in 1946, the Nazis are on the verge of winning World War II and the story’s main character, B.J. Blazkowicz, has to conduct a two-part mission in the depths of Bavaria.

Attempting to steal coordinates from Castle Wolfenstein to locate General Deathshead’s compound, Blazkowicz is then led to Wulfburg where mysterious artefacts are being discovered that could unleash a dark and ancient power.

The story and gameplay are played entirely through BJ’s first-person perspective to help create a better experience for players. New weapons and enemies are also set to be included.

Developed with MachineGames, Wolfenstein: The Old Blood will be available digitally and in retail for £14.99 on May 5, 2015 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
