Guitar Hero is back and it’s coming to Next Gen consoles in late 2015. The new game titled Guitar Hero Live is the first in the series since Warriors of Rock was released in 2010.

Rhythm games such as Guitar Hero had flourished between 2005-2008 but a huge decrease in sales saw Activision pull the plug on the franchise. However, the company feel that now is the perfect time to revamp the series and the new game will include a “high-budget” tracklist.

The game will feature songs for everyone as Activision have already announced that acts such as Fall Out Boy, Ed Sheeran and Green Day, showing a more diverse approach to a tracklist.

The new game has been announced following Harmonix decision to reboot the Rock Band franchise with Rock Band 4 set to be released around the same time. Guitar Hero Live is the first of the series to be available on both PS4 and Xbox One.
