Boxsets are a great excuse to binge watch your favourite show or perhaps a new show that you’ve been meaning to watch. Not everyone has Netflix, so the Northern Lights team have included TV, film and Netflix boxsets to this top 10.

1. American Horror Story: Seasons 1-4.

This is perhaps one of the most entertaining yet perturbing TV series that is shown on Netflix. It’s a thrilling horror TV series that is cleverly made. Each season has its own beginning, middle and end, and its own subtitle. The latest instalment is called Freak Show. An important note; don’t miss out on the show!

2. Hannibal.

Another horror on the list is Hannibal. It tells the story of Hannibal Lecter, a psychiatrist with a stomach churning fascination – to become someones enemy from the start. Although it was cancelled after three seasons, it’s a thriller indeed!

3. House of Cards.

Kevin Spacey: that’s all I need to say apart from the fact that he plays a political mogul with a overbearing agenda to be the best – no matter what. It will shock and it will surprise in more ways than one. It’s a slow start but it is worth the wait.

4. The Walking Dead.

This is a horror and a drama TV series. Who knew that zombies could induce both fear and at times tears of emotion. A post-apocalyptic world awaits with a jump and fright along the way.

5. Better Call Saul.

The eagerly anticipated spin off to Breaking Bad is here! It follows the story of “Jimmy” before he became Saul Goodman on Breaking Bad. It’s not to be missed.

6. Downton Abbey.

The British period drama TV series has filmed its final series, but you can catch up with your Lords and ladies as the box-set is now out.

7. Sherlock.

Who doesn’t enjoy the mysteries that unfold with Sherlock and Dr Watson? The British crime drama was adapted from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes detective stories. It’s been out a while but why not treat the Sherlock enthusiast in your life?

8. Breaking Bad.

The complete series is available. If you haven’t already seen this then you should! Walter White is sure to surprise you and the ending is not to be missed!

9. Jurassic Park.

We’ve thrown this film series into the mix thanks to the release of Jurassic World earlier this year. The trilogy will leave a mark like no other.

10. Parks and Recreation – Series 1 to 7.

This American sitcom will have you watching for days on end. It is lighthearted and has become a hit in the UK. It’s a mockumentary that’s sure to give you the laugh you need!
