The Bodyguard arrives at Sunderland Empire soon

Starring the North East’s Zoe Birkett from County Durham as lead character Rachel Marron, The Bodyguard comes to Sunderland’s Empire Theatre for a two-week stay, 1 – 12 March.

The show is based on the Warner Brothers film and is packed full of hits such as So Emotional, Queen of the Night, I Have Nothing and the legendary power ballad, I Will Always Love You, made famous by the 1992 film starring the late Whitney Houston.

The Pop Idol star has previously starred in Priscilla Queen Of The Desert as one of the Divas and Thriller Live as the female lead. However, Burkett is not schedule to perform at midweek or Saturday matinees.

The Diva and Security Guard love story is at Sunderland Empire from March 1-12, with tickets priced £15-£50, which are available from the Box Office and through Online tickets outlets.
