Game of Thrones Season Six Preview

The new season of HBO’s Game of Thrones premieres on April 24th, the fantasy epic continues into it’s 6th season has finally caught up to the A Song of Ice and Fire books and goes further beyond the books into the unreleased Winds of Winter book, authored by George R.R Martin.

David Benioff & Dan Weiss are back at the helm as the creators of the show and there will be several directors covering the 10 episodes in the season, all of which have experience in other popular TV shows.

Game of Thrones season 5 ended with a lot of big characters being killed off and many more left in a bad scenario.

Bran Stark returns to season 6 looking a lot more mature as he was not featured in season 5, and looks to be involved more in the world of Westeros and Essos (the two major continents of game of thrones), after spending time with the Three Eyed Raven and the Child of the Forest developing his abilities.

New sets of characters are to be introduced, teased in the trailers, which are from The House Greyjoy. Characters like Balon Greyjoy (Theon’s Father) and Yara Greyjoy (Theon’s Sister) are expected to make a return this coming season.

Another major family expected to make an appearance this season are the Tully’s of Riverrun.

The regular characters that have somehow managed to stay alive in the world of Game of Thrones like Arya Stark, Jaime and Cersei Lannister, Daenerys Targaryen and Tyrion Lannister will all be going through certain confrontations some worse than others.

Season 6 will be another huge season and for the first time book readers will be going into the unknown watching season 6 and not knowing what will happen, the Winds of Winter book does not yet have a release date.
