Avenue Q returns to the North East

Avenue Q returns to the North East

12th April 2016 Off By Siarlot Lloyd

Most commonly described as The Muppets for grown-ups, the Broadway smash-hit Avenue Q is returning to the North East.

With choice song titles such as The Internet Is For Porn, Everyone’s A Little Bit Racist and It Sucks To Be Me, the show will be at Tyne Theatre and Opera House from April 15 to April 16.

Avenue Q tells the story of Princeton, a recent college graduate and his move to the titular and somewhat dilapidated Avenue Q in New York. There, he meets a colourful range of characters, from the girl-next-door Kate to Gary Coleman.

There are still tickets available, so if you like feel-good stories, catchy tunes and great jokes you still have a chance to see Avenue Q. Just make sure to leave the kids at home.
