Song Review – Samson x Mugun ‘Local’

So after a week of solidly bumping Skepta’s Konnichiwa from start to finish, I thought it was humanly impossible to find another song worthy of gracing my ear drums with such musical genius but boy was I wrong.

Up step creative duo Samson & Mugun, part of the Coventry based musical collective 024, who have cleverly sampled the infectious latest single from Skepta, entitled  ‘Man (Gang)’ with their own melodic rendition entitled ‘Local’.

The track bangs harder than a Anthony Joshua uppercut, with the perfect mix of clever word play and energised flow sure to be blasting out of a car stereo near you.

The rap pair, whose solo careers have caught fire on GRM Daily and Link Up TV, are due to showcase their poetical talents at Coventry’s biggest music event of the year ‘Godiva Festival’ on July 2…
