Get Out – Preview

23rd February 2017 Off By Danielle Blakeley

Set in the present, this movie has boldly set itself up to approach deep-rooted issues of race and prejudice.

The racially-driven plot sees African-American boyfriend, Chris (Daniel Kaluuya) and white partner, Rose (Allison Williams), attending a weekend getaway in order to meet Rose’s parents.

The trip finds them in a white dominated suburb where mysterious reports of black missing persons have been plaguing the news. Despite Rose’s overly invasive mother, Missy (Catherine Keener) and father, Dean (Bradley Whitford) having two black servants, Chris must try to establish some common ground with the pair.

However, the zombified nature of some of the town’s residents and a series of disturbing occurrences leads Chris to realise that something is seriously wrong with this town.

Get Out will be released in UK cinemas on March 17.
