Chris Ramsey

You may recognise Chris as a regular panelist on Celebrity Juice, Mock The Week or Nevermind The Buzzcocks. Or even his lead acting role in BBC2 comedy-drama Hebburn. The South Shields lad however, has based his latest tour around an incident that occurred on Soccer AM in 2012.

Chris is currently on his nationwide tour entitled The Most Dangerous Man On Saturday Morning TV, including a date on his home turf of Newcastle on the 21st of March. The confessed Newcastle fan loves returning to the North East as he has lived in Manchester since his stand up career kicked off in 2007.

Chris always has a running theme to his tours, in 2012 it was all about luck, and this year he will be revealing some not so fortunate times. Chris’ web site reads:”It’s going to be about life, self-perception, embarrassment and, of course… saying the wrong thing at the wrong time”.

This is referring to his infamous appearance on Sky’s Soccer AM and ended up reading the wrong tweets, shall we say, and eventually getting sent off the sofa. Here’s to hoping he will say all the right things at his upcoming gig at Newcastle City Hall. Chris has had a sold out show at Edinburgh Festival, presented an 8 hour-long comedy marathon on BBC Three and most recently starred in the North East comedy series Hebburn.

James Mullinger of GQ Magazine described him as: “Frighteningly talented… tearing up every stage he lands on”.

Chris Ramsey plays the Newcastle City Hall on Friday 21st of March. 8pm. Tickets £16.50
