Paul Merton

You may have seen Paul Merton use his quick-wit on shows like Have I Got News For You or Room 101, now he is bringing his own brand of improvised comedy to the Mill Volvo Tyne Theatre with his comedian friends.

This is unlike most comedy shows as it will be all improvised, harking back to the days of ‘Whose Line is It Anyway?’ which Paul and some of the performers on the tour featured.

Merton’s world-renowned Impro Chums consist of American movie-star Mike McShane, Lee Simpson, stand-up Richard Vranch, and Mrs Merton herself – Suki Webster, amongst others. There will be at least four other performers with Paul per show who will improvise based on audience suggestions. As the North East is known for it’s unique humour, this looks like a must see show on the tour.

Niall Ashdown, Andy Smart and Steve Steen have also been named as special guests.

Paul Merton and his Impro Chums will be at the Mill Volvo Tyne Theatre on Saturday 13 June, 2015 . Tickets are £19-£21, and are on sale online now.
