Lord of the Flies is coming to Newcastle Theatre Royal this November.

The 1954 William Golding novel is being brought to life at Newcastle Theatre Royal in association with Dance City and Newcastle Theatre Royal.

Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures has united with young talent from the North East to create an adaptation of the novel. The production tells the tale of a group of British boys stuck on a deserted island. With no adults around the boys start to make their own rules and create their own civilisation. The rule book is soon forgotten and climaxes to a thrilling ending.

The story has been adapted by director Matthew Bourne and Scott Ambler and is told through dance, choreographed by Olivier nominee Scott Ambler.

Matthew Bourne’s New Adventures has also created Nutcracker! Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty.

The Lord of the Flies at Newcastle Theatre Royal from Wednesday November 5 – Saturday November 8. Tickets start from £11.50.
