The Ministry of Sound, synonymous with clubbing culture for over 20 years, will be holding a Society Fresher’s Rave at The Point, Holmeside, Sunderland, beginning at 10pm.

Harrison Chirnside, Vice President of Community and Events at the University of Sunderland Students Union, said: “To have the Ministry of Sound join us in Sunderland is a huge honour. We are really excited to show the vibrancy of this city through the sounds of the ministry.”

As well as the best Ministry Of Sound tracks and visual effects, the Ministry of Sound Society will be putting on Ibiza style UV canons, festival style lasers, confetti explosions, as well as inflatables.

Chirnside added: “We had our WEAR Freshers week in September which featured BBC Radio 1’s Danny Howard and we wish to carry on that success with the Ministry of Sound.”
