Northern Lights’ favourite Christmas Songs

Northern Lights’ favourite Christmas Songs

4th December 2017 Off By Stacey McMaster

Here at Northern Lights, we love Christmas and nothing gets us in the mood more than a great Christmas song. So we asked our own favourite writers and contributors what their favourites are at this festive time of the year.

  1. All I want for Christmas by Mariah Carey

Chosen by Courtnie Louise Kerr, Deputy Editor

Reason: I think it’s the generic fan favourite. It’s like December comes, the first chime hits and everyone is ready for the Christmas season.

  1. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas by Michael Bublé

Chosen by Amy Golden

Reason: It’s fun to sing with his pretty voice and captures the whole season.

  1. Good old-fashioned Christmas-The Overtones

Chosen by Tabitha Peverley, Editor of Northern Lights.

Reason: It’s an original song as well as my favourite type of music. It makes me feel all warm inside and makes me want to dance.

  1. Let it snow by Frank Sinatra

Chosen by Mariam Khattab

Reason: This song just sets the snowy mood of what Christmas should be in my head.

  1. It feels like Christmas- Muppets Christmas Carol

Chosen by Stacey McMaster

Reason: It’s a song from a Christmas movie I watch every year with my family. Whenever I hear that song I just know that Christmas is on its way.
