Preview: Evolution Emerging 2017

Evolution Emerging returns in its ninth year giving the latest up an coming talent a place to perform.

As one of the North East’s biggest events for new music the festival showcases over 40 emerging artists each year across its multiple venues.

In the past, Evolution Emerging has unearthed the likes of Hyde and Beast, Shields and The Lake Poets – all from the North East.

This year’s event promises to be the biggest yet with soul sensation Lulu James leading the names announced for the festival.

James will be joined by fellow headliners Coquin Migale and Eat Fast, as well as the likes of progressive rockers Mongeese and alt-pop outfit Shamu.

Artists will be coming from far and wide to return home for this event, as British-Grenadian singer Sagaboi will be travelling from London to return to his home town.
