Many artists were put up for nomination in for a BRIT award in various categories such as critics choice, global success award and the British singles award. Only a few artists went away with a prized award.

Each year the Brits award celebrates British talent and welcomes American artists with open arms.

Brit Award for British Single – Adele for ‘Hello’

Brit Award for British Breakthrough Act – Catfish And The Bottlemen

Brit British Female Solo Artist Award – Adele

Brit Award for British Group – Coldplay

British Male Solo Artist – James Bay

Brit International Female Solo Artist Award – Björk

MasterCard British Album of the Year – 25 by Adele

Brit Award for British Video – “Drag me down” by One Direction

Brit Award for International Male Solo Artist – Justin Bieber

Global Success Award – Adele

Best Producer – Charlie Andrew

The highlight of the show was the tribute of David Bowie, and his successfulness in music. Many appreciated the Brits for admiring his work. Lorde took to the stage to perform one of his hits. Lorde performed, Bowie’s 1971 single Life on Mars.
