‘Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again!’ set to hit Screens in July
23rd March 2018Here we go again! Get your dancing shoes on and singing voices ready as Mamma Mia is set to return to UK screens on July 27.
The first hit film, based on ABBA’s greatest hits, follows Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) preparing for her wedding. She secretly invites three men from her mother’s past, one of which is her real father, to escort her on the big day.
Ten years on, the story follows Sophie as she returns home with big news – she’s pregnant. The film will follow a half-prequel, half-sequel structure, going back and forth between Sophie’s current pregnancy and Donna’s (Meryl Streep) pregnancy with Sophie.
Cinderella (2015) actress Lily James is one of many new cast members as she plays the younger version of Donna. Sophie’s grandmother, played by Cher, also makes an appearance.
After the anticipated trailer arrived on December 21, many fans were left worried due to the lack of Meryl Streep’s character on the screen. Has she died? We will have to wait until July to find out!
